Students

"I joined for the bursary opportunity but stayed for the community. SASLHA connected me with passionate professionals, provided invaluable resources, and supported me through my academic journey. It's nurtured both my professional identity and sense of belonging in the field."

Bursary

Every year, SASLHA offers a bursary to a third- or fourth-year Speech Language Therapy and/or Audiology student (who successfully completed their 2nd or 3rd year of study) via the Myrtle L Aron Bursary Fund. The bursary is available to students studying at any South African University that offer these courses and is awarded based on academic merit and financial need.

"The SASLHA bursary was more than financial support—it affirmed I'm on the right path. Through my membership, I've gained mentorship, resources, and a community that's empowered me to see myself as a future contributor to the profession."

Sanele Khoza, Audiology Student, UCT
