NEW! SASLHA is stepping up for diversity, equity and inclusion!

Our brand-new DEI Committee will help to embed DEI into SASLHA’s strategy and encourage shared language and continued dialogue around equity within the professions.

This means that any non-HPCSA-registered entity (e.g. corporates, NGOs, schools, companies) employing an HPCSA-registered Speech-Language Therapist or Audiologist must obtain approval from HPCSA.

We’re excited to share that SASLHA’s Letterboard Communication Task Team, announced on 29 October 2025, is bringing together autistic people, their families, professionals and advocates, all with one shared goal to make sure no one is ever denied their right to communicate.
